Measurement Field : 측정 영역
열화상에서 “measurement field(측정 영역)”는 상세 분석을 위해 선택된 열 영상 내의 특정 영역을 가리킵니다. 이 영역은 온도 측정이나 모니터링이 중요한 영상의 특정 부분에 초점을 맞추기 위해 사용자가 정의할 수 있습니다. 측정 영역은 표적화된 온도 데이터 수집 및 처리를 가능하게 하며, 종종 이 온도 정보를 다른 시스템으로 전송합니다. 열 영상 처리에서 측정 영역은 ROI(region of interest, 관심 영역)로도 불립니다.
측정 영역은 소프트웨어의 기능과 분석 요구에 따라 사각형, 원형, 다각형 또는 자유형 영역 등 다양한 형태를 취할 수 있습니다. 일단 정의되면 소프트웨어는 해당 영역 내의 열 데이터를 이미지의 나머지 부분과 별도로 분리하여 처리할 수 있습니다. 여러 측정 영역을 정의하는 것은 여러 영역의 검사가 필요한 응용 분야, 특정 영역 내 전기 장비의 과열 지점(hotspot) 찾기, 제조 공정의 중요 구역 모니터링, 구조물의 특정 부분에서 열 이상을 평가하는 경우에 특히 유용합니다.
In infrared imaging, a “measurement field” refers to a specific area within the thermal image that is chosen for detailed analysis. This area can be defined by the user to focus on particular parts of the image where temperature measurement or monitoring is important. The measurement field allows for targeted temperature data collection and processing, and it often sends this temperature information to other systems. In thermal image processing, measurement fields are also known as regions of interest (ROI).
Measurement fields can take various shapes, such as rectangles, circles, polygons, or free-form areas, depending on the software’s capabilities and analysis requirements. Once defined, the software can isolate and process the thermal data within this region separately from the rest of the image. Defining multiple measurement fields is especially useful in applications where inspections of multiple areas are needed, or to locate hotspots in electrical equipment within a specific area, monitor critical zones in manufacturing processes, or assess specific parts of a structure for thermal anomalies.
